If everyone was like Jesus, we wouldn’t need laws, lawyers, or Supreme Justice obsoletes. Indeed, if everyone was like Jesus, Anita Hill is spared late night bleats. If everyone was like Jesus, we wouldn’t need oversight of government, checks and balances, or regulators for Wall Street high rollers and their high risk behavior depositing America in low state of beggars. If everyone was like Jesus, we wouldn’t need traffic lights, or driver’s licenses, and could say no to reform, all regulations even taxes for any reason. There’d be no need for high placed secret board rooms for high treason, or plots to keep American masses overfed, under educated and happy with trickle-down malfeasants, if everyone weren’t filled with dread, and acted like Jesus instead.
People like Jesus know it’s easy to vote for more pork with eyes fixed on reminders in our rear view memories of heaven over glazed with the good old dazed. But it’s oh so difficult to keep our faith on course while sniffing ill wind of spin, twisters twisting twisted information blowing up our noses with such din. Flying in the face of truth, our hearts and minds are spun in circles round and round in media three ring circus, until buried in the sands of time, merrily led on, in loop of merry-go-round without purpose bound.
So now unsure footed, we tread the quicksand of shortcuts backwards to what never was: never, never land. Grabbing at straws, we settle for brass ring flaws, when coffee hope and tea leaf wisdom could unite our steps in national freedom. Instead, separated we stagger, blinded by our rose colored glasses, accepting almost any proposal from fast talking radio asses. Realizing too late all that glitters is not gold, it’s our future to half governors and half wits we’ve sold. Those in top two percent who duped us into a divided high and low state of sin, now laugh all the way to the banks that helped them do us in.
If everyone was like Mohamed, there wouldn’t have been a 9/11 or 1,421 American deaths and 9,256 wounded in the Afghanistan hunt for Bin Laden. If Presidents were like Jesus, there’d been no excuse for an oil barons’ war of choice, killing 4,429 Americans and wounding 32,937 now much ignored by Congressional voice.
If everyone was like Jesus, and less akin to Bank of America, Citi Group, Wells Fargo, and Goldman Sachs, Investment Bankers would still be middle men, connecting those with a business plan to those with investment dollars in hand, and Middle Class wouldn’t be a discarded past, like unwanted trash. But, unlike Jesus, Wall Street greed for wealth and power needed funds to cheat us dopes, for their dope and other line item expenses like prostitutes for midnight hire, stealing from us more than our trust and hope.
Alas, Jesus like we’re not, especially those who aspire to oily crown by driving America into the ground.
