Church Central PointBeliefs, unlike Faith, can be seen in just how well we personify Free Will, The Golden Rule and The Bill of Rights.

Believers are free to believe Free Will is God’s gift of choice to love Him or not — to believe, or not, in combo Bill of Rights and Ten Commandments as gospel, trumping each other as needed, or serving as bookends in support of personal beliefs.

However, whether we believe Free Will comes from a supreme being or a Supreme Court, it means believers and non, have freedom of choice limited only by the prevention of our beliefs infringing on the equal rights of others.

I am Roman Catholic believing in Justice for All, who in most cases, opposes Abortion, and in the Land of the Free, I am free to express my personal belief as my right, but the Constitution does not guarantee me a country of Catholics only, or an abortion free nation.  In fact, it guarantees quite the opposite

Further, post-Civil War Amendments make clear, when we open a public business of any kind, our private personal beliefs take second position behind the laws of the land – some of which were created following the 1960 lunch counter sit-in at Woolworth’s Diner – which, despite Rand Paul’s national TV tongue twister, is pretty much the predecessor of the recent Memories Pizza in Walkerton Indiana incident – except…

  • there was no GoFundMe to help save discriminatory lunch counter owners all over America in the 1960s
  • in 2015 we’ve replaced the right to refuse service to ni**ers to The Right to refuse service to LGBTQ community who desire, like most Only Chickens fear the RainbowAmericans, the freedom to marry whomever they wish, minus mutual trauma of Loving vs. Virginia

Sometimes it seems hard not to believe the more things change in America the more 27% of Americans change to another target to discriminate against.

No word yet on Constitutional equality for women.

If we insist on the liberty to call ourselves, Exceptional, then we must stop defining ourselves by the wars we keep:

  • War on Women – Conservatives refusing to pay women the same salary men are paid for the same work while denying ratification of the ERA
  • Racial War – Although most acknowledge that 95% of police serve and protect law abiding citizens from the not so law abiding, Conservatives insisting we should not question the overzealous military equipment and disproportionate police shootings of minorities by 5% of police, caught on camera — defines Conservative beliefs
  • The Money War – Class warfare rained down upon 99% of Americans from the Trickle Down 1% wreaking havoc on America’s Middle Class – including Americans who believe they have a Constitutional right to discriminate against other Americans

When in the name of religion, cowards attack and kill 148 defenseless college students; when 27% of America’s population, gerrymander little minds to high office to dangle as puppets from zealots of discrimination and greed of money changers; when we find Moses in Netanyahu; when we preemptively condemn a possible peace treaty with an enemy our CIA created in 1953 – we are endanger of reaping in street morality what we have socially sown in smoldering burning crosses.

In a post Hobby Lobby America, perhaps it’s easier to deny weather has been unmercifully changed for millions; ignore our increased consumerism, at the expense of our infrastructure, has increased toxic waste, gas explosions, train wreaks and embarrassing Christianity with the rhetoric of the least Christ like.

If we believe there was once a living breathing example of love thy neighbor as thyself, walking among us, convincing many to believe, let him who is without sin cast the first stone – then believing your beliefs make you superior to others, gives Jesus a bad name.

Easter Sunday 2015, let’s resurrect our Faith, Hope and Love — give Obama a chance to earn his Nobel Peace Prize — remembering the greatest of these is Love.

Finding Hope in Tornados, Indiana and the French Alps – Headlined by OpEdNews.com 3/30/15

Only Chickens fear the RainbowWhere is the hope in sinkholes, school bus fires, gas-line explosions, Indiana Governor Mike Pence penning a world made straight and body parts strewed over the French Alps?

March 2015 was in like a lion and out like a pride fattened on racism, uniformed weapons and counting down the final minutes of life – and we can’t screen swipe away the losses, whether natural causes, state sanctioned discrimination or mass murder.

Diminished by Wall Street banks, perpetual wars, private prisons, and Corporatism’s financial takeover of electoral process, we are vulnerable to fear, mental health stigma, government denied food stamps, MIA Medicaid and Christians shaming Christianity in the secrets and lies of back room political idolatry, denying what Jesus promised in The Sermon on the Mount.

The question is not why innocents die, schizophrenic weather is, or non-thinkers vote against love.  It’s

  • Can hope blossom from toxins dumped by reactionary Industry leaders, continuing to erase FDR’s reversal of The Great Depression, with their slow erosion of The New Deal.
  • Can we virtually resurrect reverie from rear end rectories and retro state rectums refusing Rainbow reunification?
  • Can hope survive our being seduced into an all-consuming state of consumerism?
  • Can we imagine Lincoln’s united nation dream connecting our American Dream to hope of I Have a Dream?

Does hope evaporate in the glare of the 245/277 Park Ave aggrandized few looking down on the many, as surfs in the new continental divide?  Where’s the hope for us?

  • In any vote against state of miss-information and gridlock.
  • In not being derailed by railroads or Robber Barons between our Civil War and WWII
  • In our grand-parents and their parents resisting the private militias (with great armories of munitions in American city arsenals) employed by household names like Prescott Bush, The DuPont family, General Motors, U. S. Steel, Republic Steel and Charles & David benefactor, Fred C. Koch, to defend their bottom line from those who really built it – and immolating our predecessors victories.
  • In genes that come from The Greatest Black, Brown, White, Yellow, Red, Protestant, Catholic, Jewish, Gentile, Muslim, Male, Female, Democratic Republican, Religious, Agnostic, Atheistic, Straight and LGBTQ Generation

Our 2015 DNA is linked to Founding Fathers, shoeless farmers at Valley Forge, Lincoln’s emancipated, 9/11 first responders as well as survivors of dust bowls, bread lines and Normandy beaches.

Hope springs eternal from belief in human rights, human beings, human kindness –

And the outreach example of humanity’s life changing Mentors:

  • Wearing yellow for Seth
  • The outcry over a grandfather visiting from India being attacked by police for walking down the street
  • A female school bus driver saving her child riders from fire
  • Teachers saving students from Sandy Hook to Oklahoma tornadoes

We need to choose carefully in whom and what we place our hope, for we can be propelled or suffocated by our hoped for direction.

It is for us, the hopeful, to lead by a transparent example of zero-tolerance for any kind of discrimination, bias, prejudice, be it inequitable economic opportunity, ERA denied ratification, police brutality, campus and military rape, racial chants or any elected official targeting the LGBT, or any American community, by signing into law the reversal of what young non-violent black activists challenged to prove America’s Exceptionalism, at the Woolworth Lunch Counter in 1960.

It’s hope that drives the entrepreneurial creative artists of Apple, Angie’s List, Disciples Of Christ Church, GAP, Lilly, NASCAR, NBA, NCAA, NIKE, OWS, San Francisco, Silicon Valley, Walmart — Alice Paul, Rosa Parks, Gloria Steinem, Senator Elizabeth Warren — to insist on progressive equality.

The question is not why we crash.  It’s how to embrace diversity, behaving lovingly, knowing death comes to us all, but hope for time united, may yet await us, in Requiem for The American Dream.
